The theme of Fall Follies this year was the music of Broadway’s “rock stars” of the past and present. Beginning Mixed, Advanced Mixed, and Bel Canto choirs performed sets that included songs from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the young and wildly popular duo behind the music from Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman. A Cappella choir, meanwhile, honored a legendary duo from the past, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, by performing a condensed version of their rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.
