Classes run a mock primary election

In honor of Super Tuesday approaching quickly, a select number of teachers ran a mock primary in their classes to see what the students of Cary-Grove were thinking. Students of all grades put in their vote along with what issues matter most to them in the upcoming election.

The results that came back were interesting with Bernie Sanders coming in at first place with 53% of the votes and Donald Trump coming in a far second with 14.5% of the votes.

As far as the issues that matter the most to Cary-Grove students, topics pertaining to college topped the chart with 29% of the votes with the economy coming in second with 26% of Cary-Grove students putting it as their number one concern.

NOTE: The day following this mock primary, Jeb Bush dropped out of the presidential race.
