Soccer players Brett Schuerg and Michael Arenberg recently sat down with the Trojan Times to discuss the team’s impressive season. Arenberg has started his second Cary-Grove Varsity season strong with an impressive four goals and seven assists, while Schuerg has racked up two and five. Both of these players have proved to be monumental assets to the 2014 C-G team.
In the video, Schuerg humbly states “We’ve got to take it game by game,” and that is precisely what the team has been doing. C-G has had an impressive season, with a solid 13 wins. Unfortunately, they lost the much-anticipated game against South, bringing them their second loss.
Although suffering a crushing defeat, Arenberg still has high hopes for the team and states that he’s “still hoping for a regional title.” For the Cary-Grove Trojans, only time will tell for how far they’ll go, but who knows? Maybe this is will be the year C-G’s been waiting for.
